Is there a difference betwwen the crankshafts in case of a mnual gearbox and an automatic? My workshop had difficulty fitting the spigotbearing. We tried both types. I have a T56, but we first tried the Tr6060 bearing. After that the neddle bearing which normally belongs to the T56 boxes. But, even that one wouldn't fit.

Cranks are sameWont fit in what respect ? And is it the correct GM bearing ?
Dont think you can use the 6060 bearing with the 56 ? input shaft would be different length to mate with the bearing

I thought there were only 2 types of pilot bearings. One for the tr6060 and one for the T56. Both of them didn't work to my workshop's opinion.
There are only 2, that doesnt mean everyone uses the correct GM supplied bearing, or there may be another issue leading to something apparently not fitting.So what exactly was the problem with it ?
