I fancy a Corvette from, say, 2007-2009, a coupe, any colour. But with the 6.2 litre engine.
What sort of money will a UK-legal car cost me?

Or would a late LS2 6.0 be pretty much as good and at what price for say a 2006-2007-2008?

When you say UK legal, do you mean a car that was supplied new by a UK dealer, or a car that has been supplied elsewhere but is now UK legal following SVA work etc.

If the former, a UK LS3 is very rare as only a few were sold. The LS3 is from 2008MY onwards (i.e. August 2007). The LS2 was up to and including the 2007MY.

I'm not sure that a late LS2 would be "pretty much as good" as an LS3, as there are other differences between the two apart from the engine.

Price for a non UK car around £28k, and probably a little more for a UK car.

I have a 2008 LS3 UK supplied which I may sell if you want to PM me.

I mean one that will pass an MOT, correct lights and all the rest of it.
What are the differences, mainly, between a 6.0 Corvette and a 6.2 litre one?
I thought it was the capacity and little else?

Spend some time on google and check out the model year changes. The car evolved year to year. I could tell you the Z06 changes from year to year but not the C6. This will help you decide exactly what year you want

Main differences are:
- LS3 engine
- option (not on European cars though) of bi-mode exhaust
- improved steering
- Manual: improved box (may just have been on Z06 though)
- Auto: faster shifts and rev-match on downshifts, also I think axle ratio changed
- interior silver trim replaced with fake carbon fibre
- MP3 socket on non-Nav stereo
- different wheel design

If you are buy a 2008 LS2 in the UK you should be expecting to spend around 28,000 euros.

Personally I don't like this make/model. I would prefer a 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren SLR McLaren 2dr Cpe 5.5L Coupe or 2007 Porsche 911 2dr Cpe Turbo Coupe. Just my personal preference.

What an odd first post?!?!?!??

If I was to buy a 2008 LS2 in the UK, or anything else for that matter, I would expect to pay pound sterling for it as we don't do Euros here. Glad you like slow cars too

Insanity post too. This forum has gone mental. Since when was there an LS1 in a C6? Your comment is totally irrelevant.

IMO get a 2008+ LS3 there was trans changes, the TR6060 is better than the earlier T56.
Early C6 had weaker diff's and the LS2 ran the E40 ECU and 4 speed auto in 2005, avoid this year IMO.
2006+ had the 6 speed auto and E38 ECU much better, but LS2 until 2008 model year.

These are US model years not dodgy UK registration year/dates.
