Has anybody tried to convert this system to be useable in the UK as a digital radio? Any help gratefully received.

I investigated that some years ago and found, in summary,

  • Satellite radio is completely incompatible with European terrestrial digital radio.
  • UK digital radio is not the same as they use on the Continent and, you guessed, they're not compatible either.

However, you can use it to connect your iPod.
It doesn't give any controls just a basic Aux input.

Lots of options, but as I don't have Nav, I went for http://www.kawal.net/auxinput.htm#Alternative%201

As already said (I think) it's easy to add an aux in with an adapter.

If you want DAB in your car I used the Alpine Ezi Dab (same as the Pure Highway 300) which gives UK and Euro DAB.

It was brilliant at first, but I'm finding a bit of in out reception of late, not helped by using the stock C4 electric aerial, rather than an add on DAB aerial.
