Spotted German registered C7 testing at Millbrook. Does this mean they are testing ahead of EU Certificate of Conformity procedure??

Any opinions?

Stingray is already Euro5 homologated and Small Series Type Approved with Certificate of Conformity. They test at different UK tracks as the damper settings are now to be specifically set for Europe rather than carrying over from the US. That's why all Euro spec Stingrays are Z51 with Magnetic Ride as standard.

Forgot to mention that if the car you saw was Torch Red or Velocity Yellow then it is one of GM's Homologation vehicles as they are always registered in Germany. As for distributors, the car is being handled by GM Europe and we are the sole UK distributor.

Yes, it was Velocity Yellow, and it looked like he was setting up Traction Control, and the Stability Control. Any sign of a right hand drive in the future Mitch?

Hi James. I was in an Aston V12Vantage S. The job is getting harder now that they're pulling over 170mph on the mile straight!! eek

There's an article in Evo this month pitting the Vette against the 911 Carrera S. It was carried out at Millbrook with a yellow German registered Z51.

Looks like the Vette scored pretty well, beating the 911 at speed and £20k cheaper. Only losing out to the 911 in terms of chassis, but they still don't rate the EPAS on the 911.

The balance of the Corvette is perfect, and the 911 at speed down the mile straight is nervous as the front end gets light. I would much rather have the C7.

That's interesting. I wonder if Porsche didn't quite get their downforce balance right at speed. I suspect it is harder to get right and more perceptible under acceleration when you have your engine out the back.
