The 1,000,000th. Corvette has been pulled from the sinkhole.Lots of questions prevail-Will the car be salvageable? How much will the car be worth if so?Does the opti-spark still work..........?

Unfortunately as they go deeper into the hole, the damage is getting much worse

Aye.If they go any deeper they'll bump into Doug McClure and Peter Cushing chillin' in a '53.

Ooof, that looks almost like a cat A write-off. Are they really going to restore that? In reality it would end up being an almost completely new car anyway.

I've seen some of those cars when I accompanied Gixer and Nutz to a ZR1/Grand Sport Gathering in '04 or '05.

That PPG car splits opinion, I think it's an interesting car and like it. Looks like it was very custom though, with most of the body modified/unique and similar with the chassis. I guess it will end up seeing a lot of the parts copied from the originals, and only a few of the originals transferring to the "restoration."

They reckon it got cleaved by a slab of concrete. Can't argue with that seeing the pictures.

I was looking for some more info on it, but there isn't a lot, at least it's clouded now by articles on the sink hole. Found the Dodge M4S instead, interesting car that could nearly crack 200mph on a 2.2 litre 4 cylinder motor. Looks like these PPG sponsored pace cars were pretty serious business for manufacturers, like real working concept cars.
