I'm in the market for a pair of front tyres for the ZR-1 and haven't bought any for a while, so have lost touch with what's out there. I am looking at 275x40x17.

The tyres being replaced are Michellin pilot sports, that have not had a lot of use, however there are perishing cracks between the sidewall and tread.

The rear tyres are vredestiens (SP), which I bought around the same time. They too have minimum wear and have weathered better with no perishing evident.

Thanks

Michelin Pilot Super Sports...very long lasting and very sticky...they're a new generation of tyre and are amazing.

I've got the same size tyres all round on my Camaro and I've been looking as well. Not much available. I've got Falkens at then moment and they are good tyres but I would have liked a choice. I can only find Falken or Vredestein being sold in the UK.

Vredestein are more expensive but seem to be exactly the same as the Falkens ratings wise so I guess I stick with them.

Put 4 Falkens on my '92 nine months ago and cost me £640ish. No complaints but did fancy the Vreidesteins till I saw the price!!

Looking around, seems there are limited makes in the UK. Might be worth looking stateside and bringing them in via a group container.

How much did they cost if you don't mind me asking?
