Quick question.

I own a US spec Corvette which is up for sale.

I just had an enquiry from someone in Europe, however - I'm not sure a US spec car can be exported to European countries without some major headache.

Does anyone know for sure?

Many thanks
T

An extra garage door. A holiday abroad, Granite worktops, Wood flooring.

Next fun car - maybe next year.

How are you getting on with yours?

Ditto. Are you still in the same office location? I owe you a beer sometime.

I bought A 2008 c6 z06 in the US and then shipped it to the UK, did the SVA conversion and registered / drove it in the UK. IF it is going to the rest of Europe it will need a COC (Certificate of Conformity).

I sold a C5 to a guy in the UK about ten years ago. I shipped it to an exporter and he picked it up there. Not sure what the paperwork was on his end, he sent me the money, I sent him the car. Never heard from him again.

No. If it has been registered in the UK, it only needs to have the lights adapted, and in some countries the mirrors need to be folding ones, and then you will get the equivalent of an IVA/SVA.

Car sold today.

Buyer is very happy. Seller is a little bit emotional about it.

The price I believe was fair.
I'm not greedy. And compared to what I paid for it - I didn't lose out too much.

Honestly, I thought it would take 3-4 months to sell. Had a fair bit of interest in it too. Put them off as the European prospect committed first.
Buyer had been looking for a while.
Give him credit for massive balls of steel for flying himself and his friend from Scandinavia to see a car and then buy it. That is commitment.
(Talked him into getting an independent review though. as I couldn't get him insured to drive it)

Buyer seemed to be genuinely pleased at how good condition the car was.

I really am missing her.

Need to buy an Atom or something frown

Edit. Yours is too slow. Still up for that beer?
