In the UK???. I have removed the fuse. But it could still do with being a bit more rumblier. Any advice on anywhere even doing rear boxes would be a start.

Akrapovic are my favourite, but they're not cheap.

Do the famous exhaust mod.

Sounds like a V8 Harley.

Find a friendly welder and give him beer tokens.

Why not source your own mufflers from aftermarket suppliers like Magnaflow, Flowmaster or Jetex and have an exhaust specialist fit them.

I think bespoke is the way to go.
You need to find someone like these guys to make one.
I was thinking of taking the Borlas off mine and have them make me something
a little bit throatier.

These guys are UK Magnaflow dealers

But if you want something custom and of truly exceptional quality, give Lance at OJZ Engineering a shout.

Had mine on the C3 made-up in 3" OD stainless from the headers back with 'X' pipe by Hayward & Scott at Basildon.

Try LG motorsport in Texas. I have their long tube headers and race cats, they sound great and they add quite a lot of power.

Bassani
Borla
Corsa
BB
Plus more

Depending on how loud each of the manufacturers have various system, some are just pipes with minimal mufflers.

I love loud, but for the Vette I wanted a sexy sophisticated sound and went for the Akrapovic full titanium with 125mm carbon fibre tips. Yes expensive but it's a beautiful piece of engineering.

It also retains the bi mode option which stops the drone if you are just cruising, not that it drones a lot but I have that option if I want it.

When I was choosing it was between the Akra and BB Fusion, but now I've seen and heard both the Akra is a cut above the BB, even a exhaust manufacturer in US said the Akra is the deepest and loudest bi mode exhaust.

Akra have great pedigree and to loose 15kg and gain 15hp + (recent web article gain 25hp) is fab.

Exhausts are very much personal taste so I'd recommend getting what YOU like to hear.

Good luck and let us know which way you go.

Hi Bluethunder ...I was just about to order the Borla ATAK Cat Back $1519 plus $230 P&P .... Then you have VAT and Parcel Force Handling £30 plus fitting ....around £1500 all in I guess (I have had three upto now and was happily about to make it four!)
Blackzed who has my 'old' Z06 offered me the Borla Stinger I had fitted for £950 and was going to have AAS make him a System including Headers X pipe and Cat Back
I rang AAS myself as Allen Fell our Reg Rep for CCCUK had his Cat Back Built by them.... It is Superb! Tips are Dual rolled 4.25" round slashed it looks car better and it sounds far better than the Borla
The upshot is I have paid 20% Deposit and it's booked in for early Feb ... My best advice as others have suggested find a local Exhaust Shop that has the right Mandrel Machine .. This Company "Love" American Cars

Yeah it's www.aas-exhausts.co.uk but that's 'Scotswood' up in Newcastle upon Tyne ....they need my car 2 Days Thurs and Friday in Early Feb (They are that Busy!)
A Google Search for Custom Exhaust Builders that do perhaps Race and Rally Headers and Exhausts and particularly if they do American cars in London?
They have a full range of Mufflers and tips (you could ask them to Build an identical one to mine of course you'd have to pay up front and see if they'd Courrier it down to the Smoke for you LOL
666Vette on CCCUK has one of theirs the Build is Superb it looks better than a Borla ...Tips are Quality
And it Sounds absoloutly the Dogs! Better than the Borla Blackzed is also. Toying with the idea he's gonna check mine out first but he Loves Allen's too!

Swerni's car sounds nice.

Shame changing the cam is a bloody expensive job.

I'm tempted though.
