Corvette Kingdom
Discussion
Hi everyone,
Has anyone on here got any experience of using Corvette Kingdom up in Norfolk? I'm looking to have some light work done on my C3, but want to make sure it's going to be done properly and for a reasonable price. CK's website looks pretty good, and seems they have the experience. Any tales of good or bad service from them?
Happy to take PMs if you don't want your opinion aired in public for whatever reason.
Thanks,
Voguely

I researched all of the Corvette Specialists before I committed my 70 for what turned out to be a full rebuild, and CK came up with glowing references. I put my car to them, we had an agreed hourly rate, I was kept informed of all the 'discoveries' both in pictures video and text, under the skin my car was really bad, so bad that Scott who owns CK suggested it was more economic to scrap it, but I wanted my 70 so they persevered The result was and is epic, have a look at my website and you can see what they did and the end results. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Thanks! That sure is a very very nice 'vette you have there!G
When I bought the Vette about 10 years ago there was a leaky fuel line issue. I phoned one Corvette specialist who said it would require a body off to replace the steel fuel lines, take about 2 days and cost over £1k. I phoned Scott who said some fuel hose and jubilee clips would do the job for about 50p. Who would you trust? There was no mention of getting work done there, just advice. Over the years I've had Scott rebuild the engine, fit a new box and also sort issues such as heat soak on the starter and the alternator throwing belts.
After Le Mans last year I had a chat with him about the diff clonking and issues on revs dying under load. He suggested some diff additive but could easily have had the car down for a new diff or rebuild for more expense, but didn't. He couldn't re-create the issue with the engine which were intermittent but did an inspection of the distributor which looked worn. New distributor fitted and all is well.
Any bits he takes off or reports as being an issue are kept for you to check so he can show you whats going on. With the rebuild and gearbox he also videoed bits of work for me to view.
If I have any issues with the Vette then Scott is the first place I'd call.

Sounds like the sort of person I'd want looking at my car then, good to know there are still honest folk out there. Thanks to all for their input and helping me make my decision! After Le Mans last year I had a chat with him about the diff clonking and issues on revs dying under load.
