The idea of the 'pucks' is to keep the jack pad clear of the fiberglass sill, which extends around the chassis under the car.
They hold the jack pads clear of the undersill area and thus prevent direct contact between jack pads and the fragile fiberglass undersill.
BMW pucks will do fine - no need for anything fancy!
PS - be careful of the under car floor area - balsa wood/ carbon fibre laminate panels!smile

Hi Xonophon so as i have a workshop ramp which have screw pads which adjust by about 100 mm,should these extend enough to clear all carbo fibre parts,i use the ramps for all my Porsche customers.

100mm vertical adjustment should be more than enough.

You'll be fine if you apply common sense, I jack mine up all the time with a trolly jack and a pad of large post-it notes I nobbled from the office acting as a puck smile

Here is an interesting picture of a Z06 showing sill cut outs, chassis side jacking points and inner floor area - hopefully should be of some help! - biggrin

Corvette jacking pucks are available from your local BMW dealer at very modest cost.
