Urgent c6 locking question
Discussion
I'm on holiday with a 2013 c6
Can't seem to suss the remote locking, pressing lock flashes the tail lights but doesn't always lock, some times repeated pressing honks the horn
Should the car passively lock, if so when and how far away,as not sure it's not unlocking when I get near it lol...or is the remote busted

I think pressing lock and seeing the lights flash will have locked the car.
Can I ask why you say it didnt lock?
If you have the remote near the car it will unlock when you try to open it.
It will depend on the settings on the DIC on the dash as to whether it will
auto lock.
Mine will lock when im about 5ft away from a door, i.e. stood at front or back.
If it is set in the DIC just close the door and walk to the back of the car and wait
a few seconds, if the lights flash it has locked.
Some say the remote needs to be a long way from the car for it to stay locked.
I havent tried it myself.
Dave.

Not sure about US cars but Euro cars don't have the option to 'bleep' when locked anymore.
The most correct response here is that you need to look at the option setup on the DIC. Passive entry can either be fully on, partially on or completely off. The horn sounds when the car registers the lock command for a second time, audibly confirming the car is locked. On another note do not try to open the door with the fob in the same hand or right next to the door pad. If it is too close to the door the sensor cannot see it and the door will not open.

Right cheers all, seems it was set up wrong, I've changed it to passive lock / unlock both both doors and beep and it now works as I expected, also puts on the int light and lights up the start button which it didn't before
One other thing, the convert roof ..when I manually lower it the windows drop fully , but don't wind up when I put the roof back up , is that correct? Seems a bit cheap

That's correct. Chevrolet don't want to be responsible for somebody getting their fingers jammed anywhere so you have to put the windows up yourself. C5 was exactly the same. Manual hood wasn't available over here anyway.....
FYI make sure you don't put the fob in a jacket or such then lock it in the boot. You'll be walking afterwards if you do...
