After finally getting some dry and warmer weather today, I pulled the ZR1 out the garage and gave the Z06 its service and a check over ahead of our Euro trip next week. While it was up there, I couldn't resist giving it a quick polish biggrin

Nice job Mr G. You know though it's the top side that you should be polishing?

Yeah it is close, although I wasn't using the thick rubber blocks it came with as there isn't enough room between the frame pucks and the ground!!

I've had the lift years, I'd have to dig out the details on it. If you're thinking of a lift, pop over to the Viper forum and have a look at Dr Bobs as well. His lifts with nothing down the middle of the car which may be useful. Although saying that, I've had the ZR1 gear box out a couple of times and have used the middle of my lift as a gear box jack (I also have a set of lorry axle stands that I can put the car on in order to do this). Still want a 4 post though. Maybe one day if I ever get around to raising the garage roof.

Looked up the company I got it from and they no longer do lifts.

The lift lifts to 1.2m. The Z06 wasn't that high as I had the garage door open above it. I'd have to go and look up the weight capacity but more than enough for me. I think Machine Mart did a similar lift at the time but everything on it was smaller/thinner. If you're thinking of getting one, there were loads on display at the NEC classic last year. Might be worth going to a similar show to take a look.

Fran - I must confess, I did clean some stuff down there but certainly not like a certain Stang owner would have done.

I always thought their lifts looked pretty well made.
