Serpentine belt
Discussion
Hi all, I'm tearing what little hair I have left trying to identify which part number for the serpentine belt for a 1992 LT1, and also the best place to order one please? I've tried to research this honestly but such a diversity of part numbers etc, seems a bit of a minefield? Regards Jay
Okay, I've got the double sided drive belt, no joy getting one locally, including my local Chevrolet dealer (stunned to hear Chevys now come from Korea???) so ordered one on line from US.
Also ordered new gear wheels (in "aluminum") for the headlights as one side is clunking
Now stuck on brake discs and pads, any ideas for suppliers?
Regards
Jay

Hi, are you sure the one you have ordered has grooves on both sides? App they have pictures showing grooves on both sides but they are only grooved on one side, the ones grooved on both sides are unobtainable, I got my belt for my 92 LT1 from Dart Corvette who gave me this info and I fitted one which only has grooves on one side, it has been on for 10k miles with no probs, have a spare just in case tho!!
A good source of parts for C4 and C5 is Keith Beschi of Eurovettes. Thouroughly nice and helpful chap. Could have got you the belt easily enough too.

Surely any decent motor factors or bearing/power transmission shop would have got you a belt ? It is just a belt after all.
Hayley Bearings, Eriks etc
Either way, as long as you got one.
Yeah I'm sure you're right, but I was given the impression they were unobtainable so I kinda panicked and got one from the States Hayley Bearings, Eriks etc
Either way, as long as you got one.
