Hi All,
We have a Hertz Corvette convertible booked for a trip around California later in the year. Do these have Sat Nav as standard?
Thank you,

Unfortunately, both of our cars have built in sat nav, so we gave away our TomTom. frown

With Hertz you have the option of Neverlost, their Sat Nav solution, this should be available on the Vet, they even fit the Neverlost system to cars that have a built in Sat Nav, this happened to us last year when we ended up with a Merc GL.

We use Hertz regularly in USA. We never "book" Satnav. Sometimes cars come with it and sometimes they don't. Very often we say "no thanks" at the desk and then find it's in the car anyway - which is nice. But you can't be sure.

Hertz luxury cars tend to have the Neverfound satnav fitted to every car. The Mustang we hired last year came without satnav. I can't speak for the Vette, although I do know the car is very expensive to hire. Buying a satnav from the first Walmart store you see would be very cheap. Garmin from $70 on the link below,

Thanks all,
We will get one state side once we get there, if the Vette does not have one fitted..
As for being expensive to hire a Vette in California, it cost us just under £500 for 11 days with Hertz, which I thought was superb.

Really looking forward to it!

I hired a yellow Corvette convertable from hertz last july for a week. It did not have satnav as standard so i just got the neverlost satnav added to my package. I thought it was a great satnav unit to be honest. If you get the chance drive the Pacific highway from LA to San Fran. Stunning views, great twisting roads all the way up into the mountains. With the roof down and the sound of that roaring V8 it is easily one of the most awesome things i have ever experianced in my life.

You will love the Vette. Fantastic car with awesome handling.

I hired with Hertz a C6 convertible for a week in LAX in 2011, no satnav. I bought a Tom Tom at Best Buy for $99.
By the way I wasn't sure if keeping the Vette for the full time but after having explored the South I swapped it for a Challenger before heading north. Despite being August the weather wasn't warm enough to really appreciate the open roof experience all the time and the Vette was less exciting but not really more comfortable than the Z06 I previously test drove at home in Italy...

Ah, enjoyed it so much, we will do it again next year. We bought a Garman sSat Nav for €100 which was superb. Our Vette did have Sat Nav (which was hopeless) when we picked it up. Remember to delete the trip details from the Sat Nav before you leave the car, as our stored top speed etc.
