No good shots of the front but looks nicer than in the press release imho. Maybe the shape will grow on me..

Interesting to see the video and the pictures in the link in the video. i.e. What they look like in the daylight/on the street/out of the glare of the motor show lighting.

Personally I think that blacked-out rear panel looks absolutely shocking. Let's hope it's in body colour by the time the car gets into production.
Tricky one... It looks bad on the non-black cars, but in some ways I think it looks worse on the black cars - a bit of a slab. I'm sure it would look better with round lights rather than the Dame Edna's Anybody fancy photoshopping a body colour panel?
I can't say I understand the obsession with the tail-lights to be honest. Not all Corvettes had four tail-lights and dare I point out that they haven't always been round?
If you see the C7's light signature then I think they have done something smart and fresh which is exactly what everybody was calling out for.
As for the rear venturi, I think if you had one you wouldn't mind so much. They are desperate dirt traps as they extract the air from under the car so a matt finish is going to look alot less dirty than a shiny or painted one...

I think the round lights look old now.If you see the C7's light signature then I think they have done something smart and fresh which is exactly what everybody was calling out for.

My only opinion is that GM are now doing what most manufacturers are doing are trying to create a (family) look to their range of vehicles. I think that seeing as the rear has had so many negative comments that we will see a revised (facelift) in a year or so. Probably with the launch of the Z models. I know that not all vettes have had round lights. But the round lights are iconic to the Vette. And seeing as this is not a radical departure from the C6 they should have stayed with them.
I remember back in 2005 that everybody was lamenting the loss of the pop-up headlight from C6 and how this was an iconic feature of Corvettes but it seems everyone is over that now. I don't really see how round headlights are iconic, a C5 had ovals, C4's were latterly square too.
As for facelifts, GM doesn't have much of a history with them. Tahoe/Suburban/Escalade all un-facelifted and due for replacement next year, CTS to be replaced next year without facelift, C5 and C6 never received facelifts.....I could go on. The add models on top but typically leave the 'base' alone.

I Still think the whole back end is a dogs dinner, the massive black diffuser looks crap, especially with the reflectors above it, the taillights should of been a new design not copied from a lower priced model, and it would be massively improved by the simple change of the tail pipes to the same shape as the tail lights.
It's a shame when the rest of the car is VERY pretty.
