C7 Economy Calibration

Whilst I appreciate this may not be the most exciting thread of all time I discovered something whilst setting up my new 2013MY Cadillac SRX which may well be relevant to the C7. It is widely accepted that C7 will have its own media system but that it is expected to share the software structure of the Cadillac User Experience. With that in mind when I was setting up the unit calibration for the first time on an american car I was offered three options U.S., Metric and Imperial. The only reason I thought to mention it is that when you select Imperial it gives you fuel economy readings based on a proper imperial(U.K.) gallon, so no more mental fudging required.

Could the C7 Corvette really be for the U.K.?? Possibly, we'll find out someday soon.......

Hi Mitch and Happy New Year. I am probably the only guy on here who doesn't know this, but are you saying that currently there is no decision and/or plans to produce a UK/Euro spec C7? As GM/Vauxhall are selling the Camaro in the UK, I just assumed there would be a UK/Euro spec C7?

C7 will be homologated for Europe just as the C6 was. Tahoe, Suburban and Silverado will also be given EU homologation too.

The purpose of my post was actually bringing up an old issue in that the fuel economy reading on your Corvette is incorrect as it bases the figures on a U.S. gallon which is circa 82% of the size of an Imperial(U.K.) gallon. Currently you have to recalculate the figure your car gives you, however the SRX gives you the option of U.S. and Imperial units. It seems possible, if not likely that the C7 will also have this option too and you will finally be able to get correct figures out of a Corvette in the U.K.
