Hi,with out searching,do they do a kit for a corvette, what year vette are we talking ??

Was going kenne bell again on an 03 ZO6 but they dont do a kit any more.

Looked at the tvs2300,nice but no whine,so have just ordered the old MP112,then hope to forge the block and up the boost at some point.

How do you deal with tuning it do you get it done in the UK and if so where.

Please run a thread on it somewhere as I for one would be very interested to see how you get onsmile

If you want something that has a turbo whine - look at STS turbo systems? - bolt on ends of the tailpipes - surprisingly good results plus added economy even on Z06.

The whipple 2.9'dose look very good! Although so dose magnusons tvs2300 that will fit under the stock bonnet. Having read a bit about ECS paxton novi kits they to look very complete and a great kit.

Never heard anything that great about the sts systems on the vettes.

Hi mate, well in the past i have just used the tune that came with the kit ,going back a few years here. Not sure there were many people that i heard of that i could trust, think there are some good tuners over here now though, not looked into it yet.
As Ringram said i have EFI LIVE,great bit of kit,but never did take advantage of it,logged data that was fun but tuning it .....that stuff best left alone by me lol.
Will have to sort something, with that TINY blower got too max it eh.
I did notice on the magnuson site they mention a pre paid package to return your pcm, crap not that old chestnut,Kenne bell came with a hand held programmer to get you going, simple eh.
Saw a mp112 kit on usa ebay, says it comes with a tune, hand held,so hope there may be a way to get one with out sending mine back to the states.
Question number 1 ,would you be able to drive the car to a tuner with the stock tune if you took it easy ? like out of boost.
Ringram, what do i need to do ref using efi on a new/different car, cheers mate.
Oh and yeah will do a new topic on my latest toy biggrin

I would have no problem turning the spanner's but when it comes to EFI LIVE and tuning it's all hocus pocus to me.
I was looking at the TVS2300 also, the whine would not bother me that much but I have read you have to cut the underside of the Caravaggio hood (my preferred hood)to make it fit. I suppose that is not a big deal.
What's the feeling on centri blowers, they are very popular in the US but you do not see many/any in the UK.
I'm not sure about using the standard tune to get to a tuner but one of the US suppliers ECS gives you a tune to get you going and drive to a tuner.

I'll be watching with interest to your updates.

Actually fueling will likely be ok if you are retaining the MAF as it will measure airflow anyway.
What may not be 100% ok is spark timing. This should ramp down once you start into boost.
So if you bolt a kit on as long as you drive it under boost you should be fine.

A tuner will then ramp spark down while retaining AFR around 11.8:1 or so under boost.
Any kit that comes with a tune probably should be monitored anyway.
Who knows what fuel it was made for and what you are running etc. Always good to do some logging to make sure things are all nice.
I think this is the main reason Dave got efilive just to sanity check things.

Of course with some time and effort making simple changes is pretty easy, doing a full retune with heads, cam, blower etc requires a fair bit of learning. But if you can get a starter tune from a US firm or local crew then at least you are in the ballpark.

Ttix or APS kits are better. There are other kits that are getting great press at the moment. The APS kit is being remanufactured by a company called DKT who can also provide upgraded turbos.
