A very good insight to what is actually going to appear in a few weeks time. Looks fantastic.

I thought we were honestly going to have a drastic change to the existing car. Really there is not much difference in the basic shape to the out going model. Very disappointed to say the least.

That side view is fantastic aaaaaaalmost of Aston levels of gorgeousness.
Doesnt mean it'll translate into a whole good looking car though.

You are right, it has four wheels, two doors and a steering wheel, therefore it's just the same isn't it?rolleyes

I've got to ask..Just exactly what would you have liked Chevy to come up with for the C7? A flying saucer that runs on rainwater for $20,000 dollars perhaps? Would that make you happy?

From what I can see I think it's a fantastic evolution of the brand.
Can't wait to see the official launch..

No what I wanted fella was the concept they did for the transformers movie. They did the same with the Camaro and it became a reality. So take your smart arse comments somewhere else!

I think Chevrolet might be aiming a little higher than the 'Transformers' fan club with this car.

How little do you know.GM used the film as a marketing ploy to gage reaction on concept vehicles. They did the same with the concept Vette in the film. It got a huge reaction. That many thought this was going to be the forthcoming model.

Well it looks like its not to be. And yes top marks with your obsevation as to it having a couple of doors and four wheels. But it's hardly a major departure from the existing shape that many were expecting.

Since cars stopped being designed on the back of fag packets not many new models are a major departure from the previous model. 911? Mustang? Ferrari? Viper? Jaguar? They are all derivative.
Fag packet Car design doesn't work anymore. Yes, they'll 'show' a ridiculous teaser design exercise to whet the appetite but what makes it to the showroom floor is almost always a lot tamer, especially for a volume manufacturer.

I've learnt that cars that blow you away on first view become old very quickly and the ones that 'grow' on you tend to stand the test of time.

I think Chevy have a winner with this C7, but we'll see.

I looked at the back end view and all that came to mind was Chrysler crossfire ? Lets just wait and see what turns up, hopefully it will be nice in real life :-)

It's probably the way my mind works but why do the front seats in picture 2 look like two gentlemen enjoying oral sex?

I'm looking forward to unveiling, it seems like they have addressed the issues that always seemed to hinder the Corvette, seats and large plastic surface. I still think its the best bargain sports car. Especially now with basic specked 911 crossing a $100 grand. I know a lot of Brits hate that is left hand drive but its great car and many will talk about the simplicity but as a junior mechanical engineering major I have learned sometimes simplicity is best. Where as its German counter parts live in service bay and are a nightmare without a warranty; the Corvette is definition of reliability and dependability.

I love the speedo... When it reads up to 300 for Europe, if you're legal you'll be using about 30 degrees of travel! Thank God for the HUD smile

I'm glad it's only LHD otherwise all kinds of lowlifes with a bit of cash would buy them, as we are, most Corvette owners over here are great people.
