Another dealer entering the used C6 market?
Discussion
Well, they have sold a couple of nice ones recently. So presumably they reckon it's a good car to sell/don't hang around too long at the right price?

I am aware of them selling two Corvettes this year, possibly a third. The convertible would seem like a part exchange against the Grand Sport Convertible they had in. Darren has previous experience in US cars but I doubt they are looking to get overly focused.
As for pricing, I must be missing something because every time I do the maths it makes no sense at all to bring used Corvettes over to the UK. I demonstrated this to someone only a couple of weeks ago who reckoned he could have a low mileage 2007 Z06 in the UK for £25,000. As it turned out he had forgotten about paying any taxes or IVA which was quite convenient. It's difficult to bring them in for the retail prices cars are advertised for, forget a margin.

Totally agree Mitch, the cheapest place for a UK resident to buy a Corvette for use here is still the UK.
I have a mate living in Miami and another in San Antonio and they can't source me cars cheap enough to make it worthwhile. Many of the cars that have come over here in the last few years turned out to be salvage titles, the only way to buy them cheap enough to sell on in the UK.
Having said that, the C5 market in the UK is at least 25% overvalued, the market is stagnant with the same cars for sale for YEARS in some cases, a sure sign the market has no appetite for the values.

Yep, unless things have significantly changed in the last 12 months, then I agree with Mitch.
I was searching from June to late October last year as exactly what I wanted wasn't available over here. VHR gave me his contacts in the US and over here at the docks and for the IVA. I did the maths time and time again and double checked with VHR a couple of times that I was doing them right. By the time it's landed, monies exchanged with our crap exchange rate, taxes paid at our extortionate rates, and put on the road with IVA, I fail to see the bargin.
When mine came up in the Uk, it was identical to one I had been keeping an eye on in the states. Even the mileage was nearly identical. I did the maths again and there was very little between them by the time the US one would have been on the road.

Mitch, I noticed that new Vette prices are no longer quoted on the chevrolet.co.uk website (?) merely telling you to call Corvette HQ in Madchester for a test drive Think that one of the gents on here bought a red Z06 from this dealer, trading in his Merc SL 55 AMG. Will there be a UK/Euro spec C7 and if so, when will it be available? Thanks.
