Build numbers - C6
Discussion
Does anyone have black book, or similar, definitive and authoritative build numbers of the 2008 C6 Corvette?
As part of my import application, I need to prove there were less than 20,000 sub-models produced of the base C6 coupes. This does not include convertibles or Z06 or the pace car.
I may need evidence the C6 is iconic and collectible as printed in popular print media - well known magazines etc.
Every little helps - thanks in advance

This shows the 20,030 2008 coupes (and 7,549 convertibles/7,731 Z06s). Don't know if this helps?

Ah!the car is going to New Zealand (where the men are men and the sheep are nervous)
Just looking at the list again, there were 234 Coupe Pace cars, so if you exclude those that seems to bring you below the 20,000?
Re: "I may need evidence the C6 is iconic and collectible as printed in popular print media - well known magazines etc." Are there no "petrolheads" at the Havelock North vehicle excise/licencing office? Is the Pope a catholic?

I've seen the Pace car models so that's what I'm looking for, firm evidence in a 'bible' that there are 19,796 base coupes built.Just looking at the list again, there were 234 Coupe Pace cars, so if you exclude those that seems to bring you below the 20,000?

Is there a relavent page that could be found online of the 2012 Corvette Black Book?
As for the licencing office - they're in Wellington of which there are PHer's that have assisted along the way, however there is no master list therefore each application has to have new evidence!
Can't find anything here specifically on the Black Book website or in the BB "Resources" websites. But if you search on 2008 C6 Corvette production numbers, you will find posts (e.g. US Corvette Forum) validating the numbers above. Is that not enough robust evidence? Otherwise, need to borrow a Black Book or buy one at $19.95? Dont know if anyone else has any ideas?

Thanks Peter for your advice - looks like a google result will have to do.
Your C6 registry link and this one http://www.bowlinggreenassemblyplant.com/2008Vette... both have the relevant info.
I just wonder whether the Z4Z Indy Pace car is considered a different model from the base coupe.
I can only try....
