Don't know the car. Went to the dealer once before and he seemed to import quite a few cars from Germany. Indeed, my old 98 Z28 came from Germany through him to the guy I eventually bought it off. I went to see a Corvette C4 there once and it was a fairly average example and covered in pine needles. Others have been there to see a Mustang Cobra and found it to be distinctly average though this is often reflected in the price which tend to be lower than the norm. I never did find that showroom, I was directed to a private house with several cars there.

So I'd ask where it came from and go from there. It looks clean in the photos but don't they all. Silver is not the Z06's best colour either IMHO - always seemed to be the slowest seller when I was looking back in 2004 though the upholstery certainly helps lift this one.

Don't forget to check the driver's seat as they have a habit of collapsing on the runner and being a bit wobbly.

Dave, That one has been there ages and ages, and is not keenly priced in my opinion given the amount of time it has been on there, there are cheaper Z06 about but not in silver which i know your previous one was drop dead gorgeous ! I would sooner look at the silver C6 Zo6 thats a few grand more, or if i was in your position but the black C6 Z06 with the drop dead gorgeous wheels which strangley i like in black (normally so against black wheels) but god its gorgeous and in my view would look right at home with the black lambo & Lightning, and when you get bored of it drop it round to mine and i will look after it for a while which is WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE WITH THE LAST ONE lol biggrin

Cheers men, kinda just want another toy ,project.Really want my old car back but that`s not gonna happen. In some way lets me do it all over again but maybe slightly differently.

Just my own opinon but kinda prefer the shape of the C5,studied that silver c6 zo6 at bhp really wanted to like it but cant get on with the shape.

I dont particularly like the red seats etc with this c5 zo6,also i put coilovers on my car couldn`t get on with them seemed way too harsh and the nose came off the ground on bad bumps at 80 +.
So would be interested if the stock setup is available.

Probably need too go take a look and go from there.
Seems strange it hasn`t sold in a long time, maybe it had my name on it way back.lol
cheers for the input guys.

I've never really liked the C6 shape either and any C6 would have to be black to avoid the body colour headlamp nacelles.

It may not be that odd it hasn't sold. It's way easier to sell Yanks on the eastern seaboard of this country than get any b*gger to travel in this westerly direction. I've always been lucky having cars worth travelling for but mention Wales to anyone and they never come. Scotland is even worse. Gloucester is therefore a bit of an inconvenience. wink

I seriousley think you should go and look at a C6 Z06 up close as i think in real life the shape is awesome, the subtle differences over the standard C6 makes a huge difference, the rear arches are just lovely, there may be one at tonights club meet at the Novello if you fancy a run out ?

I've got the standard / stock set from my 02 Z06 in the garage.
I like the red / black interior, so could do a swap for my black interior !!
Cheers,
Dale.

I bought my C6 Z06 for the drive that it is, not the looks of it, but now I absolutely love the look of it, when its clean I can stare at it for hours, adding the ZR1 carbon splitter and side skirts in carbon fibre makes a huge difference also. Not to IN ANYWAY put down the looks of the 'normal bodied' vette but the wide body of the grand sport - Z06 and ZR1 are worlds apart.

I don't particularly like the C6 Z06 in Silver (and I have a couple of silver cars, I generally like it) but it has to be said that the BHP one is suffering from a bad case of dreadful photography and looks like the wheels have been refurbed by someone who couldn't care less about how they should look and painted them in a bad generic flat silver. Its VERY cheap and has to be worth a test drive, break up that silver with some nice carbon side skirts and paint the roof and halo gloss black smile, perhaps it's maybe too cheap? does it need a clutch? new tyres? these things aren't cheap, I know Bauers put a new clutch in mine when they were preparing it for sale.

I got on a plane to Scotland few years back to get a viper ,crazy day but brilliant 40 mins on the plane there ,9 1/2 hours drive home lol.
Every time i buy something it s in west yorkshire or huddersfield,i don`t mind a road trip.

Believe it or not the wheels are exactly as they should be. They were a flat/non-shiny silver. Polished wasn't an option on 2006MY Euro cars either as far as I can remember.....

Hey Dave, mine will be at the Poker run on Sunday.

The C6 is a bit of an odd car. I've always liked the shape (im not keen on the C5 though I do prefer the hard top Z06 which is odd as most don't). Yet, speaking as someone that usually likes red cars ( own 2), I don't like the Z06 in red. In fact the only colours I like it in are black, jet stream blue and I quite like the Ron Fellows white. I think it may be something to do with all the bits of black trim on the car, with black you can't see it, with white it kind of compliments it. With Jetstream blue, I just like the colour

Just to add, Martins put black lights on his yellow ZR1 and I think it makes it look better. Agree with fitting the squirts too. Was always my intention and if I'd have bought the Ron Fellows it would have black carbon squirts and wheels. However I never bothered in the end as being black they would kind have just blended into the black of the car and after finding the fitting instructions on line, I didn't want to drill all those holes in the car

Interesting stuff eh.Thanks men.

Yeah kinda feel what you guys are saying about black c6`s.
I would say for me the Bauer millett one is cool with 8500 miles and an 07, does look sharp.

Call me a nutter but i do love the spanners thing, ripping into that c5 with a blower etc kinda gets me going.
Looking at the b/millett and other c6 zzz their so sweet and sorted all they need is a wash and fuel.
I have to say they do look great now i have focused on them a bit.
Gonna need a beer and do a bit of thinking biggrin
Probably involve a chat with THE BOSS biggrin
Thanks again guys
Hijack the topic, talk amongst yourselves no prob.
