Changing X pipe to resonator?
Discussion
Just taken the X pipe off the car and replaced it with a resonator on my ZR-1. The exhaust smells more petroly than before and sounds like it's missing.
I've had a look around and can't see anything disconnected from the engine. There are no faults coming up on the fascia and the car responds ok when you put the pedal down.
I have a custom chip, that was done a few years ago, so
A/ will this be set up for the X pipe (can't remember the details) would it make a difference changing to a resonator?
B/ Has the car computor system eduacted itself for an X pipe?
If it is B would disconnecting the battery clear the car memory so it ould learn a fresh?
