Personally thought it was an improvement on Huntingdon. After paying £5.20 for two coffees at South Mimms, buying two bacon rolls and a tea for £4.80 at the new venue was very reasonable, so a big plus there.

The grounds were more relaxing and in a very nice setting.

Also the cruise to the Nationals was back to its best, obviously because of the shorter distance involved.

A very big thankyou to all those who helped in arranging it and making it possible and giving up your free time to do so.

Thanks

My first nationals.
Very friendly people, had a lot of time for you and made you feel welcome.

The Saturday night raffle was a hoot.
If you closed your eyes and all that was missing was "...and Bully's special prize..."

The venue had a lot of character.
And a lot of characters there too. What a great weekend.

ps. Would love to know what the red car in the premium section was treated with. Looked extraordinary.

Good venue - just as well it was dry though. Great bunch of people as always!

Here are some images of the day - click here and then select "slide show" on the top right:

Really enjoyed the weekend. Think the new venue worked really well. Proper food, bar, toilets etc. Somewhere to sit down inside too. The hotel and the Sat night food was good too.

Good to meet Scot although didn't see you on Sunday. Such a good turn out I didn't get to catch up with everyone let alone look at all the cars.

Yep. great place. At first I thought it was weird that the C5s and C6s went via a seperate entrance but it made sense.Made it easy to walk around and get food, drink.

Great to catch up with everyone - need to finish our conversation, Cliff!

When there's so much to cram in, in a day like yesterday, the day goes too quick and you miss a lot of things or people to catch up with sadly.

Are you all going to the classic car show at Aylesford this Sunday?

Nice venue and food was not priced to silly as with some events. And a good turn out of Vettes.
