I would have thought so, give flux's a call and see what they say I had my C4 with them on a classic policy

Footman James are pretty flexible. I had my '93 GTO insured as a classic with them for 2 years but they don't give or award any NCD years and Direct Line gave me a much lower quote this year.

are you using ncb from another car ? mine is and will be in use on my daily car , if the classic insurance is at an agreeable rate then i dont need to earn more ncb

No, same car.
Even at my age, NCD on Group 20 ins. matters.
With no NCD earned with them, I was worried D.L. would quibble but F.J. came back with a statement of no claims by return of post.

I was told that my C5 needs to be at least 10 years old before it would be considered for a classic car policy

Generally as well as being over 10 years old the vehicle would need to be garaged, do less than 5000mpa, and the customer would have to have a main "every day" car. These are the usual classic car rules that most insurers work from.

Three of my cars (not Vettes, sadly) are considered 'classics'. Two are insured being parked outside (one on the street) and all have unlimited mileage on them. Footman James currently cover them, but Firebond and Flux have in the past (albeit with mileage restrictions).

I can confirm being parked outside (on drive) is not a problem.

Oh yeah those rules are not set in stone but Most insurers would use those as a first instance. Theres always ways round things.

Mine was with Adrian Flux. Very reasonable premium IMO.

My 2005 Mustang is with Classicline on a classic policy. The only downside is it is restricted to 3000 miles because it is modified extensively and I pay a premium that is low for the car but in fact more than NU Direct charged me for my Z06 back in 2004 for unlimited mileage (though with full NCB).
