500bhp from an LS6 with headers, cat-back, CAI and a tune. Hmmm.

Its all relative.
Unless everyone dyno's back to back on the same dyno you have no idea.
Ultimately its just a random number.
To in any way justify the number he would need to have a pre and post graph from same operator and same correction factors etc otherwise its to be ignored and/or laughted at.
Dyno's can be made to read just about anything.

As indeed our American friends fully exploit with their 'crate' engine statements!Unless everyone dyno's back to back on the same dyno you have no idea.

Yep, but 500bhp from an LS6 with bolt-ons is a ridiculous claim... no 'dyno' sheet could make that believable and I'm sure none is available to substantiate. It's even the pre-2002 LS6 with 385bhp stock. Actually, his finger must've slipped... I'm sure he meant 400bhp, which would be far more realistic Unless everyone dyno's back to back on the same dyno you have no idea.

Just read the ad again, seat doesn't work but never bothered me, DVLA lost the history ??? since when do you have to give the DVLA the history ? You have to give them the Title, I wonder what kind of title it had ? Lots of vague promises, less than any other Z06 has sold for ? How can that be substantiated ? I have bought newer lesser mileage Z06 for less money in the past. does anybody get the faint whiff of desperation ? Before you consider buying this car just think, "would I believe this down the pub" ???
Those who know me will be well aware that I have exacting standards in spelling and grammar. Unfortunately the advert I am posting a link to has managed to knock be back quite considerably. Not only is in bordering on the non-sensical but the power claim nearly made me pass out with laughter. It has 650Bhp yet there is no way to verify it and don't forget to look at that remarkably standard looking 'non-standard' exhaust. I'd love the registration/chassis number....

Remember that dodgy Z06 advertised in the PH classifieds a while back where one of the pics showed the steering wheel airbag cover was adrift on one side? Check pic 7 in this ad.http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/4215856.htm

Same car?
Who would spend $$$$ uprating an LS7 to 650hp and not have a single receipt, pic or dyno sheet to validate the work done? Smacks of a car bought at a salvage auction to me.
