Thx.
Battery is on the way out. Two days on a conditioner hasn't made a difference. Only 10.8v.
Alternator is fine. Charging up to 14.5v. But a few hours later battery back in the dead zone.
Front reflectors are being checked tomorrow to see why the aren't working.
If not viable the badge removal will be the route I go for.
Was posting up to make sure I wasn't making unnecessary holes.
Thanks for advice.
Haven't ordered iPod unit yet. Debating whether to get a unit that works with sat nav controls.
More reading needed over the weekend.
Mitch. I dropped you a note re tyres. Let me know if you didn't get it.
Thanks
T

Is there any answers here Mitch?
It does say the PAL can be reprogrammed with a Tech 2.
2. Will the PAL work in any C6 Corvette? If you have Nav and XM, it will work. There are some early ‘05s an ‘06s that might require a Nav unit firmware update to access all of the PAL features. If your Nav will play .mp3 files, you have the latest firmware already. If you need to update your firmware, Click Here and see Post #5.
Version 2 PALs do not require XM
3. What if I have Nav, but no XM? Without XM, you will need a Tech 2 to reprogram the PAL module. Normally, the Tech 2 is only available at a GM dealer, so you will likely be charged for the reprogramming. Many dealers do not yet have access to the reprogramming procedure, so if your dealer is not aware of it, you can download it here:http://www.kawal.net/noxm.doc
Version 2 PALs do not require XM.
4. Where can I order a PAL kit? The GM part number for the Corvette PAL kit is 17800593. You can order it from any GM dealer, but a couple of good Corvette Forum dealers are Tom or Bob at Fichtner Chevrolet (phone 800-234-5284 or 406-628-4121) or Gene Culley at GM Parts House (phone 610-862-0550). They offer both good service and good prices.
See questions below for ordering a Version 2 PAL kit.
5. If I don’t have Nav, what are my options for an Ipod interface? The Peripheral (iSimple) PXAMG and the USA Spec PA11-Vette are two recommended iPod adapters that will work in Corvettes with the Bose 6 CD changer non-Nav radios, as long as they are XM ready. A complete review of these two adapters is available at:http://www.kawal.net/ipod.htmThe PXAMG requires connection at the back of the radio, while the PA11-Vette can be connected at the easier XM receiver location.
Version 2 PALs will work in non-Nav equipped C6s, 2007 and later.
6. Do I have to remove the center console and Nav unit to install the PAL? The standard GM instructions require a lengthy and relatively complex installation requiring removal of the center console, the Nav unit, the glove box, the instrument cluster bezel, the knee bolster, and an underdash panel. A custom wiring harness is available to instead install the PAL module at the XM receiver location which is readily accessible. This installation can be done in as little a 5-10 minutes.

Now if someone can guide me to a module that will allow a Parrot bluetooth into the radio so it has the audio through the car system instead of a scrappy little speaker and of course allow music streaming back from my phone, I would be most grateful!
I've got a perfect solution, buy my Camaro.;)That's got blue tooth for both the phone and the Ipod.
I'm surprised they didn't put it in your Vette

I think the latest latest spec has but mine not. Guess bluetooth isn't too popular in the US? There must be an interface cable for the car it's just finding someone who knows what it is.
It's because Bluetooth was integrated into the OnStar module. When they delete OnStar for export spec cars the Bluetooth goes with it......BlackZeD said:
