fitting 2 large suitcases into a corvette. is it possible?
Discussion
Hello chaps, Just a quick question. I'm doing route 66 as part of my honeymoon in 4 weeks and fancied hiring the Hertz special edition Corvette for 5 days while i'm in LA.
Problem is my other half will have a large suitcase and i will probably have a large sports bag. Is it possible? if not i will probably have to go with a Camaro SS Convertable as the second bag could go on the back seats during transit.
Also has anyone recently hired a hertz corvette? are they any good? will they be much more fun than the Camaro SS to justify the extra £200 hire price.
Thanks in advance

The corvette has a massive boot but it's not very deep. You should be fine though. We just came back from 2 weeks in Le mans and camping in the Pyrenees. We had one large case, good size tent, 2 chairs, table, 2 cookers and spare gas, towels, sleeping bag, air bed, full size buckets and car cleaning stuff, massive camera bag, hiking boots, cooker stand, large camping light, cooking stuff and a load of other stuff too. I managed to pack all that in tight enough that the boot cover was still flat and covered everything.
I know a few people that have hired them and all have enjoyed. They are the flappy paddle auto jobbies. From Memory the camero is more like the older shaped mustang we hired a few years ago. It had a big boot but a tiny opening.

Obviously if it's a rag top your looking at then the boot is going to be tiny and from experience you end up putting the roof up anyway because it's too hot down.
