Good Grief ! 1996 C6 for sale !
Discussion
This is turning out to be the year for misdescribed, hugely overpriced Corvettes !
Here's the latest fantasy garage offering.................http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-P-Reg-Corvette-C6-ORIGINAL-INTERIOR-AND-EXTRIOR-2dr-TARGA-TOP-07812032473-/120930658145?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item1c280767
Heavily modified to resemble a C4............

When you consider a dog eared 1996 TVR Griff 500 goes for more money these days (along with the unreliability, poor quality materials and totally OTT repair servicing costs), then maybe a C4 in this sort of condition doesn't look so bad. If however you compare to the cost to a C5 then yes I agree it does seem far too much money.
Are any of you are old enough to remember the classic car bubble ?

It's happening again and when it bursts the specialist/classic car market will be stuffed for another 10 years !
It all asking prices anyway, hardly any of these overpriced cars sell , eventually they sell quietly for a more realistic figure, but nobody sees that, only the daft adverts.
I await with trepidation the arrival of the £30k C5 !! ( probably in Millenium Yellow )

Glad it's not just me thinking that! There's a nice-looking Pantera in the PH classifieds that started off well into the £70Ks and has now dropped a couple of times to less than £65K. Like all used cars, it's only worth what someone will pay and I guess it's got some way to drop yet.... The Institute of the Motor Industry does here
