I know this is the Corvette forum but previously people have posted about Camaros and as I have one on rental now I thought you may be interested in some first impressions.I started out with a 2012 mustang convertible then changed to the standard Camaro convertible before ending up with the SS. The build quality on the Mustang is pretty poor the Camaro is a lot more rigid and feels faster. The SS has the upgraded interior package and 20 inch wheels with a six speed auto with paddle shift.subjectively the quality of the materials is better than on the Vets the leather on the seats and the seats themselves offer more support and look good. The steering wheel is also a lot nicer. For such a big car the interior is quite small I would probably say on a par with a 6 series convertible, so if the driver is tall probably only small adults or kids will be comfortable in the back over any distance. The boot opening and the boot itself is quite small intfact i think we will have to put our cases inside the car as I don't think even one will fit through the narrow opening. The engine is a peach with nice initial take up and smooth shifts when left in auto, when in manual mode the shifts do become a bit more noticeable but you do get a bit of a throttle blip when going down the box. The exhaust is fairly quiet compared to a Vet but comes alive over about 4000 rpm.
There is no noticeable scuttle shake and it's a pretty good cruiser as well as being good fun when you want to have a blast, overall very nice but I would not swap the Z06 for one.

Thanks for the report - I think they look great (roof or no roof) and did consider one before I opted for yet another Corvette. Pleased I did though.
