Does anyone know a way of finding out why a car has had a colour change in the US before export.
Car seems good value but doubts are arising about its history and also eligibilty for change of ownership in NZ.
I'm looking into change of ownership but I'm not getting far establishing why it had the respray. Any where I should look?
The vendor isn't giving much info but the price is right. (should the alarm bells be ringing?)
The VIN is 1G1YY32G625108502 and the advert here:

Best $30 (US) you will ever spend - possibly save you thousands buying a lemon.

Use ZIP code 90210.....

I'll get a carfax report on it. Do they advise colour changes and any recall/warranty history?

Colour changes? I don't know
Service history? From memory, I think so
Most importantly, Carfax will tell you of any "insurance history"

BTW, despite the "all factory" comment, those wheels aren't standard C5.
