We've just received our 2012MY ZR-1 with the new PDE High Performance Package. It has a few new features including the new seats, steering wheel, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Tyres, Lightweight 'Cup' Wheels, Short Ratio Gearbox, Black Rear Spoiler and my personal favourite touch is the custom stitching in ZR-1 Blue. Hope you like it as it will likely be the last one to come into the country.....

Magic! God bless America, GM & BM. If I win the pools on Saturday, can you get it to me by Sunday for the Brooklands breakfast meet? :-)

Hi Mitch,

Any chance your in the showroom tomorrow at all? Im visiting frineds in Manchester and my cousin James (JimEXPL) said if I got time I should drop by and say hello.

Last time I got to sit in a vette is when we took one of the demo blue coupes from park lane dealership to mablethorpe for the weekend circa 2007.

Just on the off chance.

Cheers

Matt

Saw a Centennial Edition ZR1 at Sebring last weekend and although the seats look better they still have way to much lateral flex. Also not too keen on the black stripes on a black car and the other Chevy 100 stickers / badges, looks a bit like something you'd buy at Autozone / Halfords!

Tyres would also be an issue if you go for the Cup tyres. Accepted advice is buy two sets of wheels / tyres. One with the Michelin Pilot 2s the other with the Cup tyres for track days only.

I saw this car a few weeks ago at BM at it looked amazing I know what your saying about the stickers but look at any Vette pace car!! they love em' the car looks like Darth vader's company car it really is nice. And also very very rare in the UK if your lucky enough to own one.

I'm guessing you've not driven on the Cups? You'd be surprised how well they work once they are bedded in.

That ZR1 is just relentless! There is so much difference at the top end. But really worth the premium? With good Z06's for around £37k I'm not sure I would pay the premium and go for a new ZR1 (although the white one does look awesome).

The difference in the drive is very noticeable indeed. The ZR-1's power is relentless and effortless, especially in the lower rev range.

Very difficult to make a comparison between a six year old Z06 and a new 2012 ZR-1......

This is very true, of course.

Personally, I just dont think I could stomach paying the difference when a Z06 would no doubt scare me silly anyway. The Black one advertised currently with the Ligenfelter kit would proabbly be a happy medium, and leave some change for my kids education laugh
