Is it possible to recharge the (C6 Z06) battery by connecting the charger to the jump start terminals under the hood or must it be connected directly to the battery?? It's a pain connecting to the battery itself as there is no metal bodywork back there for the negative terminal so you have to disconnect the battery entirely and use both terminals. Thanks folks.

Hi matey
Should be able to use the jump start terminal,"RED" ???
And then connect black to a good point on the engine,or earth point on chassis.

That said i would get one of these their great, see in the pic it has a fly lead that
you connect to the battery ,position the other end where you can get to it .

Then remove the black rubber sealing cap and plug the charger in any time you like.

Check out this link for more info

Just watch what your doing with REF jump start terminal.
Cheers Dave

Thanks V10. Yes, it works. Actually I have a CTek charger which kicks arse - currently (no pun intended) it's charging away like a goodun. Good job as I feel my drive today may be the last one until about February/March frown

If you are just jumping the car its done from the positive at the fuse box and the earth next to the header.

If you're charging the battery then do it to the battery terminals and disconnect the battery other wise you run a risk of over charging as your charger will not be operating with it hooked up to the entire car.

Ask me how I know hehe
