Battery question for C6

Hello all! I had a bit of a mishap with my C6 on Saturday, in that I hadn't used it for about a month and the battery had run dry. Got the AA out to recharge/jump etc, and he mentioned that he thought that the battery in my car was way too small....looking up on his info sheet, he said that I needed an 086 Battery with 680amps. I had a battery with only 450amp.

I'm not a battery expert, but it's worked fine for the last 2 years...anyone else had similar issues, or know what battery should be used? The one in there at the moment looks as though it belongs there (fits all the brackets perfectly etc...)

Don't know but I do know you should buy a Ctek charger...

My battery failed in my Z06 and the dealership replaced it with a larger one. Bit of a struggle to get it in but they said GM used the same batteries in most of their cars but they 'should' have used a better one in the Vette.
My old Battery failed big style after 6 months on a new car... The new bigger one is still going strong

If the battery is a Delco Freedom then they struggle if they are discharged to any degree. They need to be left on a strong charge for 48 hours in ideal circumstances if you want to try and recover them.

Thanks all. I'll see if I can get a larger one put in when I next put the car in....until then, will just have to use it more. Damn.
