After a 'spirited' drive this afternoon I put the 'vette back in the garage and went to walk away before becoming aware of an intermittent hissing sound. I opened the bonnet and could hear it more clearly - fluid dripping from somewhere under the engine block and landing on something very hot which was making it instantly evaporate (probably landing on the exhaust manifold I'm guessing). I looked under the car and there was a slow drip roughly level with the front of the doors and towards the passenger side. I'm guessing I have a leaky coolant hose somewhere? The coolant level is fine at the moment so I'm guessing it's just started to do this. Advice please fellas.

Just an update - I'm pretty certain it's not coming from the water pump. The leak is definitely at the rear of the engine and dropping onto the hot exhaust where it's running down and dripping under the car. The water pump is dry as are all the belts. Probably a loose hose then? Will get it on a ramp and see.

And to finally answer my question, it was only the aircon causing condensation. Aircon off and no drips at all after an equally spirited drive. This is such a terrific car - can't we have a C6 Z06 meet somewhere, sometime???

I was going to reply to this and say it sounds like the condensation from the outside of the aircon dripping and not to worry about it but you self-diagnosed it smile
