It was my first visit to the old ex RAF base and was impressed by the place. It had everything a vette/car/petrol head would want, an in house airfield complete with a ad lib demonstration by an old second world war American fighter plane. a Drag strip, hard standing, field and easy access to the motorway network and London.
Over the years I've been to a fair few Corvette nationals, including the one held at the Beaulieu motor museum and by far the favourite venue I found was always Knebworth. Taking into consideration how places suit or not, mentioned on another thread, for what ever reason, I've since not really enjoyed the Huntingdon venue.
I know Knebworth wasn't financially viable to the CCUK club, but have they since considered other venues like North Weald, with all it has to offer.
Just thought I'd mention it, chances are it might make a vette show more enjoyable with a drag strip and in house air show.

There seem to be strict limitations re. use of strip/noise issues with locals etc etc - the best you could probably hope for would be to hold a CCCUK event on the same day as a drag meet - its no as though there isn't plenty of room there! BTW the strip surface is crap for anything much quicker than 13 seconds or so!
