Please be careful with Corvettes advertised cheap on PH at present. There are two for sale at present that look dirt cheap, both of them have been the on Ebay recently in differing areas of the UK. There was a Z06 for sale for £5k than it was advertised by it's previous owner a couple of weeks earlier, that advert vanished in 24 hrs !
If you are the vendors selling these cheap cars and you are legit, there would be no harm revealing yourselves here maybe ??
Just a thought..............

Back in about 2005 there was a C5 for £17k I almost bought.. now 7 years later they are still selling for the same amount..
Thats good for nominal depreciation.
That being said if its an LS you are after the best value is with the Monaro at present. £6k will get you a 2004 CV8
Crap 97/98 C5's are still around the £12k mark.
99+ seem to hover around £14k

There are a few outliers but in general the vette's seem to hold value pretty well.

So have the days of a cheap vette gone then, or will C5 prices drop to the equivalent of the C4 now? I for one love the fact that the residuals are so good, not that I can see me selling for a long while.

Yeah thats the LS engine holding the value!

But Id not call any of the C5's cheap. There were a few £12k 99+ ones around not so long ago.

Cars depreciate far more slowly in the US and that reflects when you come to import them on a relatively poorer exchange rate and 20% VAT.

The Monaro is nothing like a Vette but is phenomenal value next to trying to import something like a last generation Cadillac CTS-V. It's only in the UK that we have this ridiculous depreciation.

I have noted that even good C4s are still hovering near £10k.
