thinking of buying a c3

Hi chaps, ive nipped over from the TVR area to ask a few questions.


Im thinking of selling old Trevor (1996 tvr chimaera), and im looking to replace him with a late C3. Ive had an insurance quote and its near as damn it identical to the tvr.

SO! there are a good few out there, what should a first time buyer look out for at the £8000-£9000 mark, and what should i expect to get at that price range?

Sorry, i know this has been covered but i wanted to ask myself too!!

Also, i havent driven one or even been in one, are there any of you kind chaps in the derby/leics/notts area that could give me a good look around your's,. and maybe a quick passenger ride round the block?

I recommend that you go to the Corvette Club Website and ask these questions

There is a wealth of knowledge over there about the C3 Generation (including some awesome (re)build threads.

Don't be afraid to ask what a "Birdcage" is, as this always gets mentioned in the "what do I need to look for?" threads.

Get onto the CCCUK website and have a look there, there is one late C3, fully restored but a bit above your price range. Also its worth having a chat with the likes of Scott Groves at Corvette Kingdom, he's a good bloke and you can trust him.
