Is the recession hitting the Corvette market hard? Seems to be plenty out there that aren't selling, including mine.

Probably Yes,

The answer of course, is to price it to market.

As with all Cars sales, If you put a silly price on it you will not sell it.
I known of a few C5's that went very quick because the owners have sold them at the correct money. Nice miles full history and right spec always helps.

Even the dealers seem to move their stock quick if it's the right spec and model. Not many C6's for sale as they seem to get sold very quick.

Once I'd given everyone a chance who had quietly and informally expressed interest to me and I went to the open market, mine sold quickly, easily and for what I wanted for it, which was comparable to the asking prices of others around on the market. The buyer got a bargain. A few of the people who had got in touch with me did have rather unrealistic expectations, perhaps encouraged but the odd low-price sale recently (for whatever reason they happened). The cars (at least C6 Z06) are rare and still formidable in so many ways. I miss it for sure!

It's worth watching a few auctions on ebay, the sensibly priced cars hardly ever make the end because someone has bought it behind the scenes. The one that go all the way are probably around 10% undervalued due to the ebay effect ( but not all).
It amazes me when I see cars for sale for much more than I have sold same age cars with a quarter of the miles for 3 or 4 or more years ago.
The Europeans were responsible for the steady increase in value of American cars and bikes, but this year they don't seem that interested as previous years

Well, I spoke with someone earlier who is going to view the car this week. So you never know. I've tried to price it realistically.
