geometry set-up for left/right side of the road.
Discussion
Looking through the ad's here in NZ is this for a 2000 C5
I had never considered geometry set-up for the road but the seller says this:
Babied by its previous owner in Japan, not America.
ALL American cars are designed to be driven on the right hand side of the road so to set one up properly for NZ roads the whole front end geometry must be changed for it to drive like it should to suit the road caster that rolls off to the left rather than the right, This is a big cost and needs to be factored into the equation when buying ex USA.
This car was sold new in Japan and was built as an export model with all setup done in the factory to be driven on the left side of the road.
Is this for real or nonsense?

The cars do have some steering rack bias to take into account the relevant road camber. A little tweek to the toe-in on the front end could dial most of that out with a little work and time. I would suggest the words 'at vast expense' could be an exaggeration.
Agreed, I can see nothing else that could be affected by road camber. Expensive, I think not!G

That's US $44K for a 11/12 year old car.
Caster of the road
States that the car is in NZ ready to test drive.
Then says "once the car arrives....."
You gotta love these Nigerians.
I'd really like an early C6 but they're around $80,000 landed here!! - now if I could source a good one and ship it Caster of the road

I wonder what the costs would be to import privately...
When I dismantled all of the front suspension on my C5 Z06 to replace the old rubber bushes with poly bushes a couple of years ago I noticed that the number of shims was different between the drivers side and the passenger side so it is possible that the reason for this is to take into account LHD /RHD set ups.
