Hello everyone, can anyone help me? I have a 1990 C4.I have just had some paintwork done on it and while it was at the garage the battery went flat. Now all I can get the car to do is run for about four seconds after leaving it for twentyfour hours.Other than this all it does is turn over with no sign of starting???

First thing I would do is to hook it up to another car/battery with jump cables. Start the other car before trying to start your vette. Sometime it's very difficult to get any charge into a fully drained battery most especially if the battery is on it's way out. Do you know how old the battery is?

I have a snap on jump pack so getting the engine to turn is not a problem. If I wait 24 hrs the car starts and runs for about 4 seconds then dies. after that no matter how many times I tryit will not start.

Crankshaft sensor is my first thought although i`ll unplug the maf sensor first and see if it`s running, if it does then needs cleaning or replacement.

Check for air hoses to manifold.

Sounds like what VATS does.
Is it showing any codes?

I thought a vats problem stopped the engine from turning over? It did on previous corvettes that I have had.will I need some sort of scanner to find the codes?
