That looks like the new transversely mounted V16 motor!

Leastways, looks very different from the stock LS engines I usually get to see...

a few of my pics here:

http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.194417708...

Corvettes were running with very silenced motors as per donnington rules.....yet the BOSS GP cars i.e. Ex-F1 cars were running full on i.e. ear splitting!
Very strange........

Anyway apart from the horrible sound the Corvettes made compared with normal and the rocker covers with the double tiny exhaust exits the cars looked great on track and the C5R with Roger from Rudolph Racing driving did a brilliant job taking a 4th and 3rd places from the weekend. The good news is the Corvettes wil lbe able to run unsilenced at other rounds during the season so I feel a trip to Europe is definitely on the cards.

Noise regulations vary dependent on what level the series is run at. FIA events for instance do not typically have a noise restriction. Most series involving former F1 cars are in some way sanctioned by the FIA and run at a senior license level around International B or higher and tend to be relieved from noise regs. Dutch Supercar sadly has no such joy. Does Spa have a new noise restriction now? There was mounting pressure from the locals to impose one as some of were treating it as a challenge as to who could have the loudest car there as opposed to who was fastest.
