Local council is installing 8 new camera's. As they can keep the revenue they hope that the cost is covered by fines. Does that mean that once the debt is paid off, revenue goes to reducing my poll tax?

Erhh no! the excess (if any after installation and running costs) will probably be spent on more 'revenue generation items'.

However, they are Safety Cameras right ? So if RTAs still increase, then do we get the money back that was spent on them cause they have failed ???

Yeah, I know. Just wish it did though. 2 are to go on the A48 at Stormy Down, one either side next to a junction and then after the speed limit of 50 imposed. For those who don,t know, long straight dual carrage way wich is national speed limit at the moment.

ah, the well known method of enraging most reasonable drivers: the straight road with less than NSL... excellent ploy to maximise revenue.
