This just happened in our village (here in SW Germany). My local farmer called me up and showed me what happened. The local plod set up a speed trap behind a hedge in his field overlooking the road exiting the village. (NB they have to ask the landowners permish, which they hadn't!) Now Reinhard was ploughing with his dirty great Unimog (around 5 tonnes) and a 8 or 10 tine plough. He (accidentally) backed into the corner of the field and ploughed the trespassing machine under.
Big panic from youngster plod, threatened R with his capgun who promptly dropped the clutch (in mistake of course) in fright, one dirty great Unimog rears up on its hind feet and plod landed in a 4 foot deep very wet and very mucky ditch. Needless to say photos have been taken, local press called who did same, and we're waiting for the results.....

Well plod are giving him a lot of grief, but he's turned one on them that they can't get out of.. he's charged them with trespass, which will stick, and more ugly,,, with contaminating good farming land with battery acid.... that'll cost!!!!!! Ecological "Crimes" are very, very out out here due to the greenies here (see they do have their uses)......
But what can the plod expect, wearing olivegreen uniforms in knee-high nettles with an olive drab box... went back to their "plain wrapper" car to use the other part of the unit and bingo KERRUNCHH!!! and they could see he was ploughing.. tough tittie...
And boy didn't plod stink, as the ditch was rather full of black liquid pig manure which was also being ploughed under........ oh poor guy..... yuk yuk yuk

Yes I have to admit to being a supporter of plod normally, but the shits that use speed detection equipment deserve everything they get really.

ATTN: UK ANTI SPEED CAMERA CAMPAIGNERS
TV DOCUMENTARY--- HELP URGENTLY REQUESTED
Currently making 1-hour TV documentary for Channel 4 looking at UK speed cameras policy. As part of this report we are seeking to talk with (anonymously if need be) people who've feel so strongly against the cameras deployments that they have felt a need to take action in an effort to put the cameras out of action. Need to make contact within next week as transmission is scheduled for 19 May. Also seeking video material of any incidents as they are being carried out. The point of all this is to help illustrate the amount of public disquiet at this end of the debate. Any initial communication is strictest confidence. Please contact using email or phone as per below.

Michael.. this sounds very interesting - do let us know how you get on..

In case you've not found it yet, there is also a group called speed_camera_action to be found on http://groups.yahoo.com - you might find more active activists on there...

The last three newsmen/journalists who suggested to me their story will accord with my interests, wrote/broadcasted the complete contrary.
Telling me, they have my opinion was just to make me talk/cooperate.

Latest update on the situation......
R is being hassled by plod, stopped twice in 3 days in his car, paperwork, car looked at, etc etc general hassle. Only the plod shot themselves in the leg as the second time they stopped him, R's lawyer was with him and asked plod for the reason for stopping him (they used a VERY RARE motorway car to stop him on a B road). When asked plod said "um Er etc etc we've been told to keep our eyes open for this vehicle" So Bingo plod are up before the beak with the next charge of harassment... up to 3 years nick for using a police uniform to harass!!

Latest on this, R has had his charges against the police for trespass upheld, and their charges for damaging police property squashed (due to them being illegally there). Also his lawyers reports about harrassment are being considered by the courts.....
Oh dear, what a pity boom boom...........
