M54 camera's

Does anyone know whether the camera's mounted about every mile along the M54 between Shrewsbury and Birmingham are speed cameras? They haven't been around for long. Are they the new SPECS camera's, and if so, is it possible to detect when one is approaching?

If they look like CCTV cameras with two circular 'ears' then yes they are SPECS, and the only way to detect them is to see them. Just slow down and keep your average speed around the posted limit.

Don't forget to watch out for people zooming past you and braking for the cameras though - some people just don't realise how the systems works!

How come they can snoop on drivers but to put surveillance on a crook requires a court order?? hmmmmmmm

Got a stihl saw up in my shed if you want to borrow it i will chuck in 4 metal cutting discs as well

Why, how do other people zooming past and braking for the camera's affect me if i'm just plodding at 70mph?

Because they tend to slam on to below the speed limit and pull in, right in front of you.

Just a thought ........ if you undid all the clamps on these cameras and just moved them so they weren't pointing at the road, are you committing an offence??

If not, I can see the purchase of a big white van with flashers on being on my Christmas list!!
