You or your fleet manager (if you drive a company car) should receive an NIP within 14 days.

I wouldn't worry if I were you. I've been double-flashed at least a dozen times in the past few years by Gatsos all over the place and I've yet to get any paperwork.

I know that some people do get caught (3 of our vehicles at work have been 'done' this year and a friend was caught out doing 64 at the bottom of the M11 where the limit is 50) but, out of curiousity, how many PistonHeaders have been 'Gatsoed'?

Twice in the wrong direction, does'nt count.
once in the right direction, no NIP....lucky

PS IMHO I don't think it's possible NOT to get one eventually, and I think I'm observant.

Never by Gatso.

Once by Laser - 62 in 50
Once by Vascar - 65 in 40
(on a dual carriageway that had just gone from 70 to 60 and then 40 in the space of 2 weeks)

Got GATSO'd the day I got the car on the North Circular. Luckily no NIP arrived. Sorted!

Whilst out working, my record is setting off 9 Gatsoes in London. I didn't get an NIP from any of them. According to a member of my team (who is an ex-Met Traffic Officer) only four, yes FOUR out of all the cameras in central London are actually live at any one time!

the reason I was worried was I got gatso'd on the M11 and got 3 points and fined 6 months ago - the 1st gatso to flash me....! Oh and a year ago by a hidden car on the M1 (clocked at various speeds 140+) but done for 99mph...a 3 point let off.... etc etc...

Now that's funny. All the time and money to buy the equipment, install it, paint those little white lines, clear up the mess when the guy in front slams on the anchors at the last minute. And only four are actually live. Made my day.

Notice how the comment refers to 'Central London'?? As the average speed in Central London seems to be below 10mph, I bet the four live ones don't make much money

Maybe I'll get one of our trucks to drive around the West End at 60 mph early one morning (3am) and find out which ones they are, Carl.
