How much luck is involved in driving (say a little bit on the wrong side of the law) and not getting caught.

Ive been riding / driving for over ten years and have never had a speeding fine. Its not as though I dont speed though. I ride a f*****g quick bike and drive about average miles a year in a fairly nippy car. Is it all down to where and when you speed, and a bit of luck, or maybe different areas or something else.

Better touch wood as the weather is ok for this weekend

I reckon there's a huge element of luck..... been done three times now - 2 gatso's and a jamjar. Gatso's I just didn't spot in time (this was before the "no-hiding" legislation, jamjar was me not paying attention to the cars on sliproads/bridges, (oh and going way over the limit.....

A few "lucky" scrapes with other plod - telling off and a "keep it down in future". Keep yer eyes open, get a Geodesy, put "luck" on your side.

Sometimes the cameras are hidden really well. A couple of mates got caught last summer on the way north to Saffren Walden (doing 73 in a NSL). Judging by the camera angle in the picture postcard, it must have been in a ditch. (I was lucky, a biker going the other way warned me).
