"The site where Norfolk really matters"

Perhaps as well, cos it doesn't f***ing matter anywhere else!!!
quote:
Bryan Edwards, spokesman for the Casualty Reduction Partnership, which operates speed cameras throughout Norfolk, said: “The equipment is still working.
Hmm.. perhaps use a higher grade of fuel next time.. or napalm.. or pour the pertol into the box...
quote:

“The incident is being investigated by police as a case of arson and criminal damage. This is a stupid thing to do because these cameras do save lives.

Eh? No ..... they don't .... this bloke's a f'ing cretin.. I'd be quite entertained by hanging him from a gatso and setting fire to him...

Why is it always road safety experts that tell us speed kills bla bla bla. Really gets on my tits. Well done to the "vandals" though. Come on, own up, who was it???

they need a more subtle technique for disabling the cameras than a burning tyre.
Anyone got a box van they could knock all the camera pods sideways so they take nice piccies of the countryside instead

I believe the "nonegreen" recommended technique is to use a paintballing gun to paint over the camera lens. Didn't Clarkson get Damon Hill trying to do it on his chat show once?

This has the further advantage of being loads and loads of fun if you have a mate with an open top TVR or similar as you can see how fast he can drive past while you open up on the camera.

This attempt would appear to be a little more successful:

As long as you get the camera lens before it has chance to photo you firing at it with a paintball gun and your mate breaking thespeed limit!

Of f**k it. Let's do the job properly. Anyone got a few of those RPG-7 anti-tank rockets? Every man and his dog in Afghanistan seems to have one slung over his shoulder. Can you get them from B&Q in Kabul?

If you can't get RPG's you could always go for Radar Guided Missiles! HARM's for instance!

As far as open top cars and high speed goes... always works!

It's feathers and tar time...
Seriously, isn't it possible to make a frequency device which could make them burst?

Hang about, read what that bloke said again:
quote:
There is a camera in that location not just to catch as many people as possible
So he is in fact admitting that this is one of the reasons the camera is there...

actually have to admit that the road does sound like it has a problem with people doing stupid things on it. Really read the article, and see.

As for burning cameras, a pick-axe through the "radar cover" would be a good place to pour the fuel. The cover can't be metal - you can see in the burnt photo that it must have melted. Eg, it must be a bit of painted lexan or something. Maybe a battery drill + hole cutter bit would be better than the ice pick????!

Keep it up, whoever you are!

Quicker and much easier to spray paint the lens - done in 5 seconds, then "change up into third, coast through a series of demanding S-bends, switch on the cruise control, and awayyyyyyy...." as it says in the shitty Corsa advert. (or something like that)
