Think I got caught !!

Hi all,

A couple of weekends ago I was wizzing round the Newbury Bypass when I spotted a copper with one of them lazer thingy, so jammed on the brakes........ this was 2 weeks ago and have not heard anything since. Is there any way to find out if I was caught or not, don't fancy recieving a summons in a couple of months once I have forgoten about it.

I believe they have to send you a 'NIP' within 14 days or it is invalid.

unless it was a lidar with video attached then they would have pulled you. see ABD website for details of how to deal with it if you get a NIP.

Hi....

Ok it looks like I might have got away with not getting a NIP, might just have breaked hard enough to get under the ton..... how long will I have to wait to know if I am to get a fine for it ?

If the car is registered to you then you should be off scott free.

If its not then they might try and do you by serving a NIP a little late. A recent thread somewhere on this forum showed this was used in court and he got off with it because it was really late so he had no idea who could of been driving.
