Does anyone know if the Geodesy database on UK units automatically downloads all the Dutch locations when you up date ??? I know the units are now avaliable out there and could phone customers services but I thought I'd ask here first.

Im not sure if geodesy was available in the Netherlands when i spoke to Martin from Morpheous but at that time it seemed like only uk data was kept in the device... I could be wrong and that may have changed now....

If i were setting up the geodesy in another country then i would set up a seperate database with a national dial up line. You wouldnt want your customers calling the UK all the time so you would need to servers which would be arkward to keep synched and more hassle

But like you say your best bet is to give them a call..

I pass the Geodesy building in the Netherlands fairly often on my way to Rotterdam, and it is plugged on the tuf-tuf website so it is definately available.

Not to soon ( well before christmas ) and anyway Jim in my dim distant yoof I made the trip several times into the Europort so can manage to find my way round the classier establishments in your wonderfull city, But yes I'll give you a shout before I come and we can plot some "bagging"

Anyway I've just phoned Meorpheus and as usual they were good as gold and said "just give us a ring the day before you go to europe we will switch your unit onto the Netherlands database you then do one download in the UK before you go and it will work all the way through Belgium, Luxemburg and Holland. Top people no charge no problems.

God I'm getting as bad as Campbelt for the smilies = :wanker:
