Govt isn't honouring promise to paint cameras in bright colours
Discussion
Government statists show that road casualties are indeed falling. However accident related injuries are rising. All this goes to prove is that cars are better designed at protecting their occupants in the event of a serious accident, not that speed cameras are making our motoring lives safer.
I've not posted on here before but I've been reading for a while and now you've really touched a nerve.
My renewal is up next week and I'll have to pay the full whack with no no-claims bonus whilst they investigate some cow who is trying to claim whiplash injuries from an accident where the only damage done was the removal of dirt from her registration plate.

"Seen at the last minute" cameras are a danger - especcially those on the few straight bits of derestricted A-roads. When overtaking Mr Mobile Chicane in his Micra, the last thing you want at a time of maximum concentration is a sudden sight of a low-viz Gatso. Instinct is to lift off - not the safest thing to do when passing!
Paint 'em bright!!
